2018 Frank W. Hodges Alumni Achievement Award Honoree

Suzanne Walden Wells, Class 16

Suzanne Walden-Wells is a true servant leader, collaborator, innovator and visionary who graduated from Scottsdale Leadership’s Core Program nearly 18 years ago and remains very engaged to this day. A former Scottsdale Leadership Board President, Suzanne has been a strong advocate, pillar and pioneer for the city of Scottsdale through the many far-reaching contributions she has made to the City and Scottsdale Leadership. Congratulations Suzanne!

2018 Bill Jenkins Youth Leadership Award Honoree

Adway Gopakumar, Scottsdale Preparatory Academy

Adway’s innate leadership abilities, humility and compassion are far beyond most 17 year old seniors in high school. He leads his school’s Rotary/Interact Club; serves as a junior board member of Scottsdale Sister Cities and works as a multiple myeloma research intern at Mayo Clinic. His vision and formation of the Liberation through Education organization to help disadvantaged elementary school children in India is the most astounding. Join us at the luncheon to learn more about this remarkable endeavor. Congrats Adway!

2018 Herbert Drinkwater Community Leadership Award Honoree

Diane Cusack

Scottsdale is a masterfully-planned city and a caring, citizen-involved community as a result of Diane Cusack’s more than 60 years of inspired, volunteer leadership. The breadth and depth of Diane’s volunteerism is virtually unequaled, from long-time planning commissioner and member of Scottsdale city council to regional healthcare official and school and youth group volunteer. Congratulations Diane!
