2017 Drinkwater Community Leadership Award Honoree: Charlie Smith

Charlie, a very humble and long-time servant leader, has made tremendous impact on Scottsdale and its many surrounding communities which many enjoy today. Charlie served on Scottsdale City Council for 10 years; has twice served as Chair for Scottsdale’s Charter Review Task Forces; was instrumental in keeping Cactus League in Arizona. Congratulations Charlie Smith!

2017 Hodges Alumni Achievement Award Honoree: Marion Kelly

Among many things, Marion has been: a mentor to many and is active with Communities Celebrating Diversity and the MLK annual dinner; a founder of Diversity Leadership Alliance; spearheaded the Coalition of Blacks against Cancer and has numerous board positions.

2017 Jenkins Youth Leadership Honoree:  Rachel Zoneraich

Rachel exemplifies an A+ type leader – She is president of the Governor’s Youth Commission as well as president of her school’s Rotary Club Interact. Seeing a need, she designed a community service website for students at school to match them with organizations who desire to welcome high school student volunteers.
