POSITION: PARTNERSHIP & EVENTS MANAGER
STATUS: Full-Time, Exempt
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
HOURS: Normal business hours, 8:30 AM to 5 PM M – F; some early morning & evenings required
SALARY RANGE: $41,000 – $49,000 DOE

The Partnership & Events Manager is a valued position within a great organization and works in close collaboration with the Executive Director, Board, staff and volunteer alumni committees to manage and execute sponsor partnerships and fund development strategies; annual Spirit of Community Leadership Awards Luncheon; and, assists with other year-round SL events and programs. The Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing an active portfolio of current and prospective new partners to retain and grow funding levels to support the organization. Utilizing relationship-based fundraising and providing excellent customer experiences, the manager consistently tracks and monitors moves and progress through eTapestry CRM database.
What you’ll do:
Develop and oversee sponsor partnerships and other fund development strategies, raising approximately $170,000 in sponsorships and grants per fiscal year ranging from $2,500 to $25,000 and through event table, ticket sales and raffles.
Build relationships with current and potential partners, including researching corporate interests, developing strategic approach, and conducting Partner visits in collaboration with Executive Director, board members and alumni.
Manage, plan and implement special, program and alumni event activities including: managing volunteer committees for event planning, development of collateral materials, and other follow up as required.
Responsible for entering and tracking partner contact in eTapestry donor database, maintaining accurate information for all current and prospective partners and monitoring progress towards sponsorship goals.
Work with Office Coordinator on gift processing, gift acknowledgement and internal gift management procedures.
Work closely with Corporate Outreach and Community Events chairs and committees to prepare all progress documents needed for monthly tracking report to Board of Directors.

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALITIES
What you’ll need:
2+ years experience in nonprofit development, events, marketing communications or a related field. College degree in related field preferred.
Demonstrated integrity and ability to execute a comprehensive development program in a leadership capacity.
Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication
Strong research, organizational and analytical skills
Roll up your sleeves attitude to work collaboratively with staff and board, while managing alumni committees and volunteers to achieve objectives and financial goals.
Proven successful experience with providing excellent customer service
Develop all needed outreach resources both internally and externally to further fund development efforts.
Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills. Comfortable and fluent in a variety of social situations
Demonstrate strength in efficiency, timeliness, multi-tasking, and attention-to-detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff team and volunteers while accepting ultimate responsibility for tasks and efforts within their realm.
Excellent communications skills, emphasizing the ability to listen and hear others
eTapestry/Blackbaud or other CRM database management and entry experience
Professional in appearance and demeanor
Occasional evening or early morning work is required for meetings, programs or events.
Attendance at frequent out-of-office meetings and business-related events
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and AZ auto liability insurance is required.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
Moderate lifting, not to exceed 20 pounds, may occur from time to time.
Professional office located in shared space of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale Administrative building with elevator, stairs and ample parking; frequent car travel for partner meetings and other business meetings
